Editor's Note: A handful of ski areas here in the East dance to their own tune and provide experiences you won't come across at the big boys. One of those spots is Whaleback Mountain located just east of Lebanon, NH off I-89 where a locally grown year round action sports facility has been growing since 2005. Hop off the highway and get a taste sometime. - AK

**NOTE - Friday April 13th is last day of 25-60% Off Ski The East Gear Sale**

The inaugural Lift Festival - The Elevated Musical Experience, came to Whaleback Mountain in Enfield, NH this past March. It was an unprecedented production and line up of artists and musicians. The two day music festival had over 20 artists playing for festival goers/skiers & riders. Whaleback was only open for festival goers, and despite the difficult east coast snow conditions, we all had to endure this year, was open with top to bottom skiing and riding on Friday and Saturday. Whaleback's Pub was open as a VIP viewing area with guest DJ's for the event. All festival goers had access to a lodge/hospitality tent, numerous vendors, and the Harpoon Beer Garden next to the stage. Additionally, Vitamin Water was onsite giving away FREE samples.

The dismal weather on Friday of light rain and low clouds did not dampen the spirits of the 600-650 skiers and riders who showed up for the party. Sylvia Joyce and the Moment started off the event at 3PM and got the party started rocking the Whale. Whaleback's unique double chairlift was open for festival goers to enjoy some skiing/riding until 8PM while 9 more artists and bands played culminating with the headliner Conspirator at 11PM.

Saturday was a different story: Blue bird skies, warm weather, and perfect spring conditions made for a picture perfect day for a March music festival. Lift Festival kicked off with the McLovins, a fantastic young group of young musicians, and ended with Ghostland Observatory. For the full line up of artists and musician check out LiftFest.net/artists The combination of exceptional artists and spring conditions made Saturday a truly elevated experience.

Lift Festival was emcee'ed by DEX TER of UNregular Radio and covered by High Times. Special thanks goes out to Camp Pam Productions and her hard working crew and to Whaleback Mountain for hosting this epic event. Insane bass along with awesome spring conditions made this an event to remember.
