With the Southern VT Freesking Challenge in the books, we're quickly approaching stop 2 of the 2012 Ski The East Freeride Tour. The almighty Castlerock Extreme Challenge takes place Saturday, March 10 at Sugarbush for its 15th consecutive year.

All sorts of news has been coming out of the Sugarbush camp in the last few days. The competitor cash purse is now doubled to $2000 (thanks to Vermont Spirits), the event will have Roy Tuscany of High Fives Foundation as a guest judge (who's also throwing a big fundraiser called the Fat-Ski-A-Thon on Sunday), and there's also a new $30 lift ticket special for the rest of the season at Mt. Ellen, which is where the terrain parks are located.

Registration is filling up so if you want a shot at the cash, other swag prizes, or just want to challenge your personal stoke meter, get to the registration page and do the deed before it maxes out.
