Who We Are

Ski The East is a fast growing outdoor apparel brand based in Burlington, VT. We have been building the finest ski lifestyle clothing since 2005 all while shredding Volkswagen-sized moguls, neck deep powder, and rock hard ice with a smile on our faces. Our company has a casual office atmosphere and plenty of excellent microbreweries, farm-to-table restaurants, and America’s “6th Great Lake” (Lake Champlain) right out our front door. 

 

We recently moved into the best office space in the state: Hula Lakeside - which houses a cafe, gym, bar, indoor gardens as well as a beach surf club and bike path mere steps away. Did we mention the beautiful Green Mountains nearby that have the deepest snow and best ski resorts in the region?  

 

Who We’re Looking For

Are you an artist through both pen and pixel? Do you know the Ski The East brand and outdoor industries well? Are you able to create inspiring artwork through drawing, scanning, and digital wizardry? Can you help craft everything from eye popping emails to Instagram story slides? Can you combine creative, memorable copywriting with just the right image? Are you a master of Photoshop, Lightroom and Illustrator? Are you able to fold clothes and layout apparel in a way that would make it into a catalog? Do you drool over the beautiful simplicity of a well placed sans serif font and wince at the horrendous overuse of Papyrus? Are you a creative powerhouse itching at the chance to unleash your skills?

 

If you answered yes to these, live within daily commuting distance of Burlington, VT, and have a reasonably well developed sense of humor, then you just might be the right candidate for noble entry into our Wolf Pack. This job will be approximately 50% graphic design (everything from t-shirts to emails to facebook ads) & 50% paid advertising management (social media and google advertising). The person in this position will work closely with our Brand Manager as well as the rest of our marketing team. We are seeking a candidate that can thrive in a fast paced, multi-tasking, small company environment with our team of 8 people. 

 

Tasks Include:

• Creation of digital assets for use in social media, email, website, and paid advertising
• Creation of graphic/photo/font layered designs for marketing use across many channels
• Creation and management of our paid advertising campaigns
• Craft awesome looking emails and write on-brand copy for marketing campaigns
• Studio photography of clothing in a variety of layouts and lighting scenarios
• Post production on photos with expert color correction and stylized color looks
• Drawing skiers, equipment, fonts, and other ski-related and outdoor themes to use on our apparel and marketing of goods and events
• Other related duties as assigned

 

This should be you:

• 2 years of relevant experience
• Mastery of Photoshop, Lightroom and Illustrator
• A passion for the creative arts: graphics, photos, and copywriting
• A passion for selling and telling a brand’s story 
• Outgoing personality that like to help connect people to products
• Comfortable with data analysis, excel, and spreadsheets
• Some experience with Facebook and/or Google advertising
• Fast typer, attention to grammar and detail
• Ability to plan, stay organized, and stay on schedule
• Firm grasp of the ski and outdoor industries, styles, and trends
• Multi-tasking ninja warrior and team player
• Self motivated, hard working, and able to receive constructive criticism
• “Keeps The Shred Alive” and is generally a friendly person

 

Would also be cool if you had experience in some of this:

• Sales 
• Marketing
• Mogul Skiing
