Jobs - Digital Marketing & Events Manager

Who We Are

Ski The East is a fast growing outdoor apparel brand based in Burlington, VT. We've been creating the finest lifestyle clothing, media, and events since 2005 all while shredding Volkswagen-sized moguls, neck deep powder, and rock hard ice with a grin on our faces. Our company has a casual office atmosphere and plenty of excellent microbreweries, farm-to-table restaurants, and America’s “6th Great Lake” (Lake Champlain) right out our front door. This year we’re looking to grow the Ski The East team and expand on exciting new opportunities.

We recently moved into the best office building in the state: Hula Lakeside - which houses a restaurant, cafe, gym, bar, unlimited free coffee, as well as a beach club and bike path mere steps away. Did we mention the beautiful Green Mountains nearby that have the deepest snow and best ski resorts in the region?

Who We're Looking For

Are you a natural creator who loves using their phone to craft photos and videos that tell a story?  Do you live deep within ski culture and obsess over the latest online edits, product trends, and current industry news?  Are you an outgoing, enthusiastic person who is comfortable being a spokesperson for Ski The East in front of the camera or crowds?

Ski The East is more than a brand - we’re also a community and a belief... a rallying call for an entire region of skiers.  Can you be the voice, the megaphone, the curator and creator of photo, video, and written content for all those who were “Born From Ice?”

Are you boundlessly creative with an eye towards brand marketing and messaging?  Are you organized, self-driven, and thirsty to learn?  Can your copywriting be inspiring, humorous, and motivate action?  Can you spell better than the dictionary, wax poetic about skiing better than Shane McConkey (trick question… not possible), and take selfie videos better than Kylie Jenner?

Without Google, can you name who won gold in men’s Olympic moguls at Nagano in 1998, explain how to do a blunt grab, and name the resort in the East with the most average annual snowfall?  Can you ski icy groomers, cruddy glades, and sharky backcountry and be the most stoked person in the parking lot at the end of the day?

Whew… if you answered yes to these, live within daily commuting distance of Burlington, VT, and have a reasonably well developed sense of humor, then you just might be the right candidate for noble entry into our Wolf Pack.  This job will be approximately 80% digital marketing management and 20% events.  The person in this position will be the Ski The East voice on all of our social media platforms as well as help organize and attend periodic events throughout the year.  We are seeking a candidate that can thrive in a fast paced, multi-tasking, small company environment with our team of 8 people.
