Snowfall on the East Coast can be glorious at times, but any die-hard knows that mother nature can also be fickle. We aim to ethically create and distribute top quality gear with minimal environmental impact. We’re not just here praying to the Snow Gods, we are building a business to make sure snowfall is abundant for generations to come.

Being a 1% for the Planet® member is an investment in the planet through ethical business practices. Ski The East has dedicated at least 1% of our yearly revenue to environmental non-profits such as Fair Trade USA. We're a small brand trying to make a big impact when it comes to preserving this beautiful place we call home.

We're proud to be partnered with Fair Trade USA and currently manufacture 55% of our apparel in factories that are Fair Trade Certified™. When you choose goods that are made in a Fair Trade Certified™ Factory, you’re supporting responsible manufacturers, empowering workers, and protecting the environment.

We moved our headquarters to the Hula campus in the beginning of 2021 and it's great to be back in Burlington, VT... where it all began for us. This brand new building on the shores of Lake Champlain is environmentally consciousness in every aspect of its community and construction.

Beyond the way we make products, improving the way we deliver them to customers has become a huge goal of ours. All of our clothing is now polybag free saving nearly 70,000 plastic bags per year. All hangtags are made from recycled material and our new hangtag fasteners are even biodegradable. Additionally, we are using shipping boxes manufactured in the Adirondacks of New York from recycled material.
