Sustainability

Snowfall on the East Coast can be glorious at times, but any die-hard knows that mother nature can also be fickle. We aim to ethically create and distribute top quality gear with minimal environmental impact. We’re not just here praying to the Snow Gods, we are building a business to make sure snowfall is abundant for generations to come.

Fiber Freshies

More than 70% of our clothing collection is made with organic and recycled fabrics. Sustainable fibers feel better, last longer, and are easier on the environment to grow or manufacture.

Plastic Free

It's not just about what we make, but also how we get it to you. All of our clothing is now polybag free saving nearly 70,000 plastic bags per year. Our custom gift boxes are manufactured in upstate New York from recycled material.

1% for the Planet

Being a 1% for the Planet® member is an investment in the planet through ethical business practices. Ski The East has dedicated at least 1% of our yearly revenue to environmental non-profits such as Fair Trade USA.

Protect Our Winters

Being a POW Brand Alliance Partner means we help turn passionate outdoor people into effective climate advocates.

Fair Trade Factory Certified

We're proud to be partnered with Fair Trade USA and currently create 75% of our apparel with garment manufacturers in India that are Fair Trade Certified™. When you choose goods that are made in this way, you’re supporting responsible manufacturers, empowering workers, and protecting the environment.

Hula HQ

We moved our headquarters to the Hula campus in the beginning of 2021 and it's great to be back in Burlington, VT... where it all began for us. This new co-working building on the shores of Lake Champlain is environmentally consciousness in every aspect of its community and construction.
